Through a photograph by Mark Morrisroe, Hyde Cabinet #26: Inked Intimacy explores tattooing within 1980s queer communities and questions widely held assumptions about tattoos and tattooed bodies.
Mark Morrisroe (1959–1989) was a performance artist, filmmaker, and photographer known for his intimate, dream-like photography documenting queer communities in Boston and New York City in the 1980s.
