Event details
July 15, 2017, 5:30 PM
Join us on Saturday, July 15, 5:30 – 7:00 pm, for a public reception celebrating our current exhibitions.
This event is free and open to the public.
At 6:00 PM, Stephen Petronio Company member Nicholas Sciscione will perform Trevor in the exhibition Janine Antoni & Stephen Petronio: Entangle. Trevor premiered in the first collaboration between Petronio and Antoni, Like Lazarus Did. The final section of this dance, Trevor was drawn from sonograms of a child developing in utero. This solo, performed by Sciscione, became the starting point for Honey Baby.
Honey Baby is an immersive experience created by Antoni and Petronio that features a fourteen-minute video that captures Sciscione folding and tumbling while suspended in a honey-filled environment. Honey Baby is on view through July 16.
Please note: The dancer may perform nude.
Join us earlier in the day for our annual Frances Day Celebration beginning at noon, a community open house full of art, art-making, food, music, and more in honor of the museum’s namesake.
