We The People has featured a guest book asking visitors to answer the question “What would you add to the Constitution?” The guest book became more than simply a place for visitors to answer that question — instead, it became a lively, sometimes witty dialogue among visitors on the strengths and weaknesses of the U.S. Constitution and the challenges facing it today.

This event brought together a group of Skidmore students and faculty to examine the fascinating constitutional challenges, suggestions, and questions raised by this guest book during the months when the exhibition took place. Vice President and Dean of the Faculty Beau Breslin and David Goroff ’14 led the panel that consisted of Government major Jean-Ann Kubler, ‘13, and Government Department professors Ron Seyb, Natalie Taylor and Flagg Taylor. This event marked the end of a series of lectures, discussions, and workshops that took place over the course of the We the People exhibition.

This event is free and open to the public.
