About 100 people attended a meeting of the Saratoga Springs Board of Education at the Tang Museum on Thursday, January 24th. On the agenda was the question of whether the Board of Education should take a position on allowing gun shows at the Saratoga City Center. A dozen people spoke both in favor and against the shows before the vote was taken. Although the Board eventually voted not to take a position at this time regarding the gun shows that are held four times each year at the Saratoga Springs City Center, the event was a striking example of local community involvement and engaged citizenship.
