Art, food, and music with Alex Torres and the Latin Kings to celebrate the contributions of the Latino Immigrant Community in Saratoga Springs, and highlight Saratoga Economic Opportunity Council’s (EOC) “Vision - Estamos Aqui” Photography project.

About the organization:

The Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council is a community action agency that helps people to help themselves, empowering and guiding families through times of crisis and uncertainty and providing a safety net for neighbors who will always require assistance. Since 1973, the Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council assists families by addressing their immediate most basic needs. By helping these people in meaningful ways we have made a difference in thousands of lives.

The Latino Community Advocacy Program (LCAP) addresses the special needs of the Spanish-speaking immigrant population in Saratoga County. LCAP promotes cultural understanding and recognizes the positive contributions of immigrants and long tradition of immigration in our communities. The bilingual staff provides assistance by facilitating communication and access to health, legal, and educational services. The goal of the program is to extend EOC’s mission of promoting economic self-sufficiency to immigrants in the community.
