Join us Thursday, August 10, at 6 pm, for a performance by Zan & The Winter Folk on the lawn outside the Tang.

Zan & The Winter Folk is a Troy-based Americana/folk band. They create anthems for the revivalists, lullabies for the lonely, ballads for the hopeful. Paired with lead Zan Strumfeld’s alluring vulnerability and soulful lyrics, The Winter Folk reveal a unique and captivating sound in both their recordings and live performances. The Winter Folk’s first full-length album will be released in the fall of 2023.

For its 22nd season, the Upbeat on the Roof summer series highlights regional musical talent every Thursday, July 6 through August 17, at 6 pm.

Performances take place on the lawn outside the Tang and are free and open to the public. Visitors are invited to bring picnic blankets, camping chairs, and their own food and drink to make it a night!

Note: this event was initially scheduled for August 3.

Crafts on the Grass

Tang Art Educators offer craft kits for kids at every concert, starting at 5:30! A different craft will be available each week. This week’s craft is Woven Shapes. Participants are invited to create their own string art using cardboard and string! All projects are suitable for children aged 5 and up, with adult supervision recommended. Materials will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
