Student staff
Join us for Tang at Home Studio: Colorful Music on Sunday, August 8, at 11:00AM, to talk about art, make art, and share — all conducted via Zoom.
In this session, we will look at different pages of Sarah Cain’s music book, in which the artist paints with gouache right on sheets of music! After thinking about possible relationships between how we experience color and music, we will create our own music sheets that continue to explore how color and music can influence and change the way we experience the world.
Hosted by Sunny Ra, The Laurie M. Tisch Educator for K-12 and Community Programs, and her team of Skidmore student interns, these sessions are geared toward children ages 5 to 12 accompanied by a parent or guardian. This hour-long live session includes a guided exploration of an artwork, information about the artist, and a hands-on art project.
Tang at Home Studios are free, however, registration is required and space is limited. Register for this event.
Once you register, you will receive project instructions, a list of materials, and a link to Sunday’s Zoom meeting. Register early, as space is limited. Registration will close once the workshop reaches capacity.
If you have any questions, please email Museum Educator Sunny Ra at sra@skidmore.edu.
