Tang at Home Studio: Abstract Shadow Drawing

A person traces the outlines of shadows on a piece of paper with a green sharpie.

Join us this week for Tang at Home Studio: Abstract Shadow Drawing! Register starting Monday, July 13, to learn how to make your own abstract drawing using shadows, and then join us for a live Zoom event at 2:00 PM Friday, July 17 (registration details below).

Hosted by Tang Museum Educator Sunny Ra, and geared toward children age 5 to 12 accompanied by their parent or other adult, this hour-long live session will focus on creating and sharing with the group your abstract artworks created by using shadows found in nature.

Before Friday’s live event, watch the video below on how to create an abstract shadow drawing. Written instructions are also available here.

Tang at Home Studio: Abstract Shadow Drawing is free, however, registration is required and space is limited.

Once you register, you will receive confirmation, project instructions, and a Zoom link. Registration will close once the event reaches capacity.

If you have any questions, please email Museum Educator Sunny Ra at sra@skidmore.edu.
