Join us on Saturday, February 15, at 1:00 PM, for Family Saturday: Shine Bright! We’ll dive into the abstract world of Mary Weatherford in the exhibition Mary Weatherford: Canyon–Daisy–Eden! After we take a closer look into her large-scale paintings that feature bright lights, we will create our own artworks that weave both paint and textile materials into a painting that will shine as bright as the exhibition!

Family Saturdays foster multigenerational creative cooperation through looking at artwork, discussing it, and engaging in a hands-on art activity. Most of the free programs run from 1:00 to 2:30 PM, unless otherwise specified, and are suitable for children ages 5 and older, accompanied by their adult companions.

All materials provided; be prepared to get messy and have fun. And dress accordingly! Reservations are required and may be made beginning one week in advance of each program. For additional information and reservations, call the Tang’s Visitor Service Desk at 518-580-8080.

The Tang welcome visitors of all abilities. Be prepared to get messy and have fun! Share your Family Saturday photos on social media by including #tangfamsat.
